Ion chromatography requires the constant use of calibration solutions. Merck offers a variety of individual and complex solutions for this purpose. Recently, Merck has developed additional solutions for environmental analysis. These are in accordance with a new standard developed on the basis of nitrogen and phosphorus, rather than nitrate and phosphate ions, as had been used in the past.
All standards – except fluoride – are traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, USA) standard reference materials.
